Nyeri County, Kenya
Nestled between Mt. Kenya and the Aberdare ranges, Nyeri County is one of Kenya’s most celebrated coffee regions. Its rich red volcanic soils, ample rainfall, and mild temperatures create ideal conditions for growing exceptional coffee.
Farmers here handpick only ripe cherries, with two harvests each year: the early crop from June to August and the main crop from October to March. Cherries are processed at the Gichathaini Factory using fresh Ragati River water, fermented, and then sun-dried on raised beds.
This coffee comes from smallholder farmers cultivating plots of 1 hectare or less, with a strong focus on quality and sustainability at every stage — from farm to export.
