Colombia - Geisha Villamaria
Regio / LOCATION:
Villamaria, Colombia
This washed Geisha from El Refugio farm in Villamaría, Caldas, grows on volcanic slopes at 1,750–2,050 m, nurtured by the Agudelo Uribe family since 2020. The farm cultivates Gesha and other exotic varieties under native shade trees that enrich the soil and protect the coffee from strong mountain winds.
Washed — pulped, fermented 24 h, dried on African beds.
Ripe cherries are carefully hand-picked, floated to remove defects, and fully washed using an eco-friendly Ecomill process that minimizes water use. After a 24-hour fermentation, the coffee is gently dried in parabolic beds to 10.5 % moisture.
Farm: El Refugio
Altitude: ~ 1750 - 2050 masl
A very silky and fruity cup - peach, plum, cane sugar, pear. Aftertaste of dried apricot and cane sugar.
